Amanda Bynes has well established herself as an exceedingly adept comedienne, having cut her teeth on the popular Nickelodeon sketch comedy shows All That and The Amanda Show. She made her move to features with remarkable ease, starring opposite Frankie Muniz in the box-office hit Big Fat Liar in 2002. That same year. Amanda emerged with a WB sitcom called What I Like About You, which has proved to be a perfect showcase for her talent.
2005 saw Amanda lend her voice to the highly-anticipated animated feature Robots, in which the actress was cast as a misfit named Piper Pinwheeler (the film also starred and ). She also began work on the fourth season of What I Like About You, and was nominated for Best Actress at the Teen Choice Awards.
Along with her continuing gig on What I Like About You, Amanda is set to appear in two romantic comedies in 2006. Lovewrecked casts Amanda opposite former O.C. cast member Chris Carmack, and revolves around a girl who finds herself stranded on a deserted island with a popular singer. Far wackier is She’s the Man, in which Amanda plays a character that awkwardly falls for a male student -- despite the fact that she’s disguised as a boy.
