Christina started out as an actress, with minor roles in the 1999 films American Pie and The Wood. In 2000, she sang on Ja Rule's monster hit "Between Me and You;" "A.M. to P.M," her first single as a soloist, was released the following year. In 2003, Christina shared the lead with Nick Cannon in Love Don't Cost a Thing, then played opposite Ice Cube in 2004’s Torque. That same year, Christina released the album It's About Time, which featured the hit single "Dip It Low."
Over 2005, Christina lit up the big screen with appearances in the comedies Man of the House (starring Tommy Lee Jones and Cedric the Entertainer) and Be Cool( with and ). She cohosted The Reign fundraising gala at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre in New York City in August, where she received an Outstanding Achievement Award for her humanitarian work.
We'll be seeing and hearing a whole lot more of Christina on the big screen and all over the radio in the coming year. So Amazing is the unconfirmed title of her upcoming album, set for release during the spring. Her next film, Pulse, is a remake of a Japanese horror film, and will costar .
