This New Zealand-born, British-bred pop singer and her brother, Daniel Bedingfield, set a when they became the only brother and sister to have separate solo No. 1 hits in the UK. Her 2004 debut album, Unwritten, also peaked at the No. 1 spot in Britain, while her single, "These Words," was a worldwide success.
Natasha Bedingfield had little output during the past year, as she spent most of her time doing promotional work. She went on her first European tour in early 2005, which she followed up with appearances in the U.S. during the second half of the year to try to break into the lucrative market across the pond.
We may see a second album from Natasha Bedingfield soon, as she's begun to write new songs. Whether or not these will be recorded in time for a 2006 release is anyone's guess. What is certain, however, is that after all her touring, Natasha's career won't hit the next level until she can get some fresh material back on the airwaves and take advantage of her exposure.
