Having gotten her start in London theater, Rachel Weisz appeared alongside in Bernardo Bertolucci's
Stealing Beauty in 1996. That was followed by roles in Chain Reaction, The Mummy and
The Mummy Returns before Rachel got some meatier parts in such films as
Enemy at the Gates, About a Boy, Confidence, Runaway Jury, and Envy.
Once again, Rachel proved that she could constantly balance box-office bankability with outstanding acting. She teamed up once again with her
Chain Reaction costar for the comic-book-inspired Constantine, while also delivering a standout performance in the acclaimed adaptation of John le Carre's novel,
The Constant Gardener.
Rachel Weisz will no doubt continue to thrill drama lovers of all persuasions in the coming year. On the big screen, she's set to star in
The Fountain and Heaven and Earth, while she also plans to take the title role in a New York production of August Strindberg's play,
Miss Julie.
