Following a few years of working in relative obscurity, Jennifer Garner hit the big time in 2001 when she got the role of Sydney Bristow on the hit TV show Alias. Her film roles haven't been as successful, though; they’ve included a bit part in Catch Me If You Can, and starring turns in the Big rip-off 13 Going On 30 and the comic-based bomb Daredevil.
Jennifer mostly grabbed headlines last year due to her relationship with ; she married him in June and gave birth to their first child, Violet Anne, in December. On the big screen, Garner starred in Elektra, a spin-off sequel to Daredevil. Although her pregnancy forced her to take some time off from Alias in late 2005, she also became one of the show's producers. Although none of her Emmy nominations ever amounted to a win, Garner nabbed a Screen Actors Guild Award last year.
Although Alias’ final season will come to an end in May 2006, Jennifer is unlikely to fade into obscurity, as she is working on many other projects. She is set to star in Catch and Release and lend her voice to Charlotte's Web in the coming months, and she will also produce and star in two other movies, Sabbatical and Be With You, both due out in 2007.
