Jennifer Connelly has been a star ever since she appeared opposite David Bowie in 1986's
Labyrinth; some of her major films since then include The Rocketeer, Mulholland Falls and
Dark City. But it's only in the new millennium that Jennifer has received serious critical attention for her work after standout performances in
Requiem for a Dream, Pollock, A Beautiful Mind (which earned her an Oscar),
House of Sand and Fog, and Hulk.
Connelly's output had dropped off since House of Sand and Fog in 2003, but she was back in 2005 with
Dark Water. Though, as a horror movie, it gave Jennifer a different kind of role to sink her teeth into,
Dark Water failed to float enough moviegoers’ boats to be a milestone in an already distinguished career.
Jennifer Connelly's career shows no sign of slowing down, although her prestige allows her to be selective about new roles. Her next movie,
Little Children, will have her starring alongside . Then, she’s slated to start work on
The Berkeley Connection and The Blood Diamond, but neither film will be out anytime soon.
