Mandy began her acting career before she reached her teens, appearing in the film Street Rats and on Mad TV when she was 12. She released her recording debut, So Real, on Sony 550 Music at the age of 15, and toured as the opening act for the in the late ‘90s. Subsequent films roles include The Princess Diaries, A Walk to Remember (which earned her an MTV Movie Award), Saved!, and Chasing Liberty.
Mandy acted and sang in Romance & Cigarettes, an indie movie musical that featured an all-star cast including , and . She also provided her voice to the animated feature Racing Stripes and the video game Kingdom Hearts II, and appeared as herself in the HBO comedy Entourage.
Expect to see a whole lot more of Mandy Moore in 2006, as she has no less than a half-dozen features set for release. Diane Keaton plays her mother in the romantic comedy Because I Said So and American Dreamz pokes fun at television singing competitions. Mandy will also appear as one of the witnesses to the 1968 Robert Kennedy assassination in Bobby, alongside and , and co-star with and in Southland Tales.
