Things are hotter in Texas, and Eva Mendes is proof. This Houston-born actress made her breakthrough in 2001 as ’s girlfriend in Training Day. Since then she’s shown her need for speed in 2 Fast 2 Furious and shared the screen with and Greg Kinnear in Stuck On You.
Eva showed off her star power in 2005 playing a sultry gossip columnist in Hitch. The romantic comedy did over $360 million in worldwide business and transformed Eva into a bankable star. The movie’s tremendous success also gave Eva some prime face time on The Tonight Show with , Last Call with Carson Daly, The Tony Danza Show, and The Show. Eva followed Hitch with starring roles in the little-seen The Wendell Baker Story and 3 & 3, and a supporting role in the comedy, Trust the Man.
Although Eva doesn’t have any films slated for release in 2006, you’ll still likely be seeing her smiling face everywhere you go. A self-described “girl’s girl,” Eva currently models for Revlon and was recently selected for an upcoming campaign for Dolce & Gabbana.
