Torrie Wilson is one of the most famous women to ever emerge from the world of wrestling, thanks to her association with such notable names as “The Franchise” Shane Douglas, Medusa and Billy Kidman. In 2003, Wilson shattered any preconceived notions of what a wrestler looks like by posing for a revealing Play..boy spread. But even Torrie was suprised by her placement on 2006's Top 99: "It's amazing to see myself ranked so high on the list, especially knowing how many readers voted."
Torrie spent the majority of 2005 engaged in one wrestling event after another, including the highly awaited WrestleMania 21. Though there were rumors floating around that she was being let out of her contract with her employers at WWE, Wilson appeared in almost a dozen wrestling-related showcases in 2005, including WWE No Way Out, WWE Viva Las Divas and Summerslam.
Expect to see more of Torrie at various wrestling engagements, including the upcoming WrestleMania 22 (which will be held in Chicago). Though she’s never tried her hand at acting, one can’t help but imagine that -- of all the current wrestlers -- Torrie has the most potential to experience the sort of crossover success that is currently enjoying.
