Lindsay Lohan first came to us packaged in kiddie fare like The Parent Trap and
Freaky Friday, and her adolescent years carried her into the teen comedies
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls. As her career continues to mirror her maturity, she is now gravitating toward adult-oriented productions -- although not of the adult variety we would prefer.
2005 was something of a down year for L. Lo's career; her only big-screen time had her reduced to costarring with Matt Dillon and a Volkswagen in
Herbie: Fully Loaded. Nonetheless, a brisk social life maintained Lindsay as a staple in the tabloids, and we all watched in collective horror as she paraded around with and , embarrassed herself on the
Late Show with , and underwent dramatic weight loss and the tragic diminishment of her once-ample bosom.
After undergoing medical treatment for "exhaustion," the formerly frail Lindsay is now back to her fine, fleshy self, and we couldn't be more pleased. Her agent is likely snapping his heels too -- with three flicks lined up for 2006 (Just My Luck,
A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby), Lindsay's paychecks are going to start rolling in again.
